Business Insider Kenyan travel agency Travel Africa announced its plans to create a new entity called Travel Africa Kenya.
The new entity will be led by an executive director from the newly created China-based company, Travel Africa Asia.
The company is the first in Kenya to be based in China.
Travel Africa’s name is part of a broader strategy to grow tourism and make the country’s economy more attractive to overseas visitors.
It also has plans to open a regional office in the United States.
The move comes after Kenya’s Tourism Ministry announced that it was opening a new office in Shanghai to expand travel services for the country.
The ministry is looking for people to join its new division, which will be based on the same site it operates in Kenya.
