It may not be the most glamorous hotel in town, but Rainbow Mountain Resort’s new downtown hotel has some super-buddy in the mix.
In a bold move, the company has opened a new “golf bar” for guests to sit and watch golf while they wait for their flight to arrive.
“Our goal with the hotel was to have fun and to create a great place to stay while traveling,” Rainbow Mountain Chief Operating Officer Ryan Stearns said.
“The new golf bar at Rainbow Mountain allows us to cater specifically to those traveling with their friends, family, and pets.”
Rainbow Mountain says the bar is equipped with a “vacuum” and that guests can use a small, plastic bottle filled with water to wash the glass before they take their seat.
“You can use it to clean your face, your hands, your nails, and even your eyes,” Stearn said.
Guests will also be able to check their phone and other gadgets before and after they arrive.
The hotel will open at 5 p.m. every day and it’s the first hotel in the city to offer this type of service.
“We are thrilled to partner with Rainbow Mountain to make it easier for guests in the Phoenix area to stay connected, relax, and enjoy their vacation,” said Rainbow Mountain President/CEO Andrew Graziano.
The new resort, which will have a full bar, a dining room, and a “dinner and entertainment” lounge, is part of a $1 billion renovation project Rainbow Mountain has planned in the downtown Phoenix area.
The resort has been operating in the old Rainbow Mountain shopping center since it opened in 2015.
The Rainbow Mountain resort is located in the heart of Phoenix, about a 15-minute drive from the city’s airport.
The project is expected to be completed by 2020.
