FourFour Two is reporting that a nursing agency will be offering a travel agency to a family of four that will be visiting the US, after being contacted by the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
This is after an anonymous customer contacted the agency and asked about the opportunity to work with the agency.
The customer told the agency he was “a nurse and wanted to take a trip overseas”.
The customer, who is not related to the customer, told the agent that he needed help with his mental health issues.
The agency responded that they are working with the patient and that they were “in the process of looking into the option”.
The agency also told FourFour that the customer was not allowed to make any comments or requests to travel with them.
The employee told FourFourth: “They asked me about my health, I said, ‘No, I am not allowed’.” The customer had previously been in a relationship with a colleague, and the agency was looking for someone to work as a travel agent for a family travelling together.
FourFour confirmed that the agency is a travel company, but said that they did not know the name of the customer.
The US Department is not allowing travel agencies to work for the US government, and are currently not accepting applications from individuals without proper visas.
FourThree has contacted the Australian Department of Immigration and Border Protection and will update this story when we receive a response.
