Cuscos Express, a travel agency in Omaha, has raised $15 million in a token sale to fund operations and expand its operations.
The funding, led by CoinBase, was led by venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and will allow Cuscos Express to continue expanding its offerings, according to a statement from the Omaha, Nebraska-based travel agency.
“The Cuscus Express token sale is a step forward in the evolution of the Omaha travel industry,” said CusCos Express CEO, Andrew R. Gollings.
“Our team of talented and experienced professionals is poised to grow and expand our reach and our customer service capabilities.
We are excited about the future.”
Cuscos has more than 70 employees, including three full-time and six part-time employees, and operates four locations in Omaha.
The Omaha office of CusCos Express serves as a hub for travel within the state and includes travel to the Cuscius region, the region where Cusces Cuscowan Mountains lie, and is the only Cuscan-based service that is operated from Omaha.
The company was formed in November 2016, and Gollers said in a statement that the expansion will enable Cuscoins Express to provide more opportunities for Omaha travelers and their families.
“I am confident that we will continue to grow our business in Omaha and will be able to provide the services that our community requires,” Gollies said.
The announcement comes as the Cisco Express website and mobile app have experienced issues with some users.
CoinBase has also raised funds in the past, and recently closed a $2 million Series B round, according the CoinDesk VentureBeat blog.
