ATV TOUR
Our ATV Maras Moray ATV tour begins with the pick-up of your hotels in Cusco or the Urubamba Valley. According to your reservation.
Our day begins with a visit to one of the Textile centers located in the town of Chinchero, Here we will be filled with the knowledge and practice of the famous Inca textile factory. After this visit we will go to our store located 20 minutes away. Where you will be given the delivery of all the complete equipment such as gloves, helmets, etc. and the ATVs, likewise you will be provided with all the necessary information about the proper use of the ATVs, we will also describe the route to be completed, culminating this brief orientation we will begin our journey towards Moray, you will be accompanied by an experienced instructor and our guide professional through unique trails surrounded by beautiful mountains and snowcapped mountains,
Once we reach Moray we will have enough time to visit the circular terraces that were built in huge natural depressions or holes in the soil surface, where the Incas are used for scientific research in agriculture to acclimate their seeds brought from different parts of the Inca Empire. What is surprising is the difference in the average annual temperature between the top and bottom of the terraces up to about 15 ° C, after this visit we will go to the Plaza de Maras, where we will have a short stop in the main square.
Our last place of visit will be the famous Salineras de Maras, which are constituted by some 4000 small pools on the mountainside, where people fill the pools with salt water that flows from the mountain during the dry season, the irrigation has to be done every 3 days, When the water evaporates, the salt contained in it slowly solidifies, to obtain a salt production every 30 days. Then we will take the ATV again and return to the starting point, here our transport will be waiting to return to Cusco or the Sacred Valley.
